Richard Fawconer has read and collected Science Fiction since being introduced to the galaxy-spanning delights of ‘Doc’ Smith in the 1950s.
The universe inhabited by this story (and its forthcoming companions) was proposed in discussions with friends more than twenty years ago, and grew out of frustration with the thin supply of new “classic” Science Fiction.
The series is inspired by a lifetime passion of enjoying tangled plots and classic space adventure, all based on the fundamental SF rule of developing a simple 'What if …?' idea in a believable and consistent way.
Siege at Gazbriz is dedicated to all the SF enthusiasts wondering who can even begin to try and fill the boots of the Golden Age heroes like Anderson, Heinlein, Herbert, Simak, Smith and Van Vogt.
